MUDHONEY have announced one Australian headline show only around their Splendour in the Grass appearance this July. The landmark Seattle band will play at the Corner Hotel, Melbourne on Friday July 27. Forming in 1988 and made up of members of Green River and The Melvins, Mudhoney become the staple act of iconic grunge label Sub Pop when they signed to the company in the late 80s. Their debut EP Superfuzz Bigmuff and subsequent single “Touch Me I’m Sick” saw them rise to international attention, and were invited to tour alongside Sonic Youth in 1989.
