Terms and Conditions of RHUM INC competition entry Information on how to enter and prize details forms part of these conditions of entry. Entry is open to residents of Australia only. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Entry is only valid if all details on the Membership Application and/or Validation Form are completed. Limit one entry per subscriber per competition per entry. No responsibility accepted for lost, late or misdirected entries. Judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All entries become the property of the Promoters – RHUM Inc. The Promoter reserves the right to use the content of winning and runners-up entries for the purpose of future promotions. Upon receipt of the entries, they become the property of the Promoters and will not be returned to entrants. The entrants irrevocably consent to the Promoters publishing the entries in “Curiouser & Curiouser” E-MAG and/or on the Internet and Radio. The winner will be notified by email within 21 days of promotion closing date. The promoter is RHUM Inc (ABN 46 616 593 167) of PO BOX 500, Flinders Lane VIC, 8009. RHUM Inc accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to prizes in transit. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality/suitability of any of the goods/services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered or sustained, to person or property and including, but not limited to, consequential (including economic) loss by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter, or its agents, in connection with the arrangement for supply, or the supply, of any goods or services by any person to the prize winner. This clause does not affect, and is not intended to affect, any rights a consumer might have, which are not able to be excluded under applicable Australian consumer protection laws. Minimum age requirements apply to some of the RHUM inc competitions. In some cases members must be 18 years or over to enter. It is the member’s responsibility to check the additional restrictions applicable on each competition. Entry is open to all residents of Australia over the age of 18 years at the time of entering the competition. The Promoters reserve the right to request the prize-winner to provide proof of age and identity prior to awarding the prize. The prizes are strictly as stated in the competition pages of “Curiouser & Curiouser”. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoters will not be responsible if the prize or any part of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoters’ control. In the event of such cancellation, re-scheduling or unavailability of the prize, the Promoters are not obliged to provide a substitute prize of equivalent value. To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoters exclude liability for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever suffered or sustained (including, but not limited to direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage, loss of opportunity revenue or profit) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with the promotions in the ‘Curiouser & Curiouser’ E-MAG. Details from all entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting the various promotions listed in ‘Curiouser & Curiouser’ E-MAG or www.rhum.org.au (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for publicity purposes surrounding the individual promotions. The Promoters, for publicity purposes, may use the name and image of the winners and persons accompanying the winners. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their addresses set out above. In the case of event ticket prizes, the promoter will only provide the entry ticket to the event specified in the competition. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to organise transport, accommodation and other related expenses including but not limited to spending money, meals, other government charges, insurance, transport to and from departure point, items of a personal nature, alcoholic drinks, laundry, additional tours, passport and any required visas. All ancillary costs are the responsibility of the prize winner and his/her companion/s. To enter, entrants must provide the correct answer or the most creative answer to the various competition questions on www.rhum.org.au in 100 words or less. Entry forms must be completed in full and only entries that comply with these terms and conditions will be eligible to enter. All entries are to be submitted via the www.rhum.org.au. The winner will be notified by e-mail or phone. All prizes must be claimed by confirmation in writing within 48 hours of being announced.
